186 Media’s film for the Open University politics department explores the background and staging of the debate through archive material and interviews with key figures at the heart of the debate – politicians, scientists, activists and members of the public. The result is a fascinating insight into how government policy is created and how different interest groups fight for the hearts and minds of the public and the politicians.
We undertook the audio post production for 186 Media for this video resource for one the Open Unversity’s Politics courses. As the prduction used a lot of archive material which required us to replace the sound with new effects and foley.

Seven radio producers – all based in the north of England – have joined forces to launch a new co-operative venture – ‘Radio Wizards’. It’s equally remarkable that their aim now is to work together on every kind of sound production... except radio!
"It’s taken over a year to get to this point," says ‘wizard’ Mike Thornton, "but now we’ve got a viable business plan, we’ve launched our website and we’re already starting to attract commissions. As a facilities provider we decided to facilitate this partnership and set them up with a web site to help kickstart this excellent partnership."
