In my post about the 10.0.1 update from Avid for all non HDX users, I asked if the new plug-ins had been included in the upgrade installer and thanks to Ole E. Flaten and Claus it would appear that Avid haven’t included the latest plug-ins in the installers. However good news for non HDX Pro Tools 10 users I have found urls for several of the 10.1 AAX plug-ins….
| Classic Compressors Bundle 10.1 Installer | 36.9 MB |
| HEAT 10.1 Installer | 6.6 MB |
| Impact 10.1 Installer | 9 MB |
| Pultec Bundle 10.1 Installer | 32.7 MB |
| Reel Tape Saturation 10.1 Installer | 14.9 MB |
| Reel Tape Suite 10.1 Installer | 36.4 MB |
| Reverb One 10.1 Installer | 12.3 MB |
| ReVibe 10.1 Installer | 14.4 MB |
| Smack 10.1 Installer | 35.6 MB |
Hope these help…..

Seven radio producers – all based in the north of England – have joined forces to launch a new co-operative venture – ‘Radio Wizards’. It’s equally remarkable that their aim now is to work together on every kind of sound production... except radio!
"It’s taken over a year to get to this point," says ‘wizard’ Mike Thornton, "but now we’ve got a viable business plan, we’ve launched our website and we’re already starting to attract commissions. As a facilities provider we decided to facilitate this partnership and set them up with a web site to help kickstart this excellent partnership."

I tried a couple of these and it appears that they are AAX DSP only (or at least they require a different iLok license to the previous versions).

That seems a pain. Anybody had any success or are these for AAX DSP only

The Pultec bundle works for me (native). But when I compared system load with aax and rtas versions I found out that the new aax plugins needed about 5% more cpu. Not really a step forward.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the note, good to know that at least this one works, although not so good news about the amount of cpu usage.

Pro Tools HDX 10.1 is currently Mac only.
I’m currently testing the AAX Versionsof Plugins coming with 10.1 on a Macbook Pro 2011:
BF-2A, BF-76, Dyn3, EQ3, Impact, Low/Recti/Sci/Vari-Fi, Maxim, Pultec Bundle, Real Tape Suite Bundle, ReverbOne and Revibe – No issues so far.
Of course you need the iLok licence and AAX Plugin file which is mostly coming with the 10.1 installer.
Couldn’t localize any AAX versions of the Fairchild, Purple Audio or BF-3A and Heat also does not run without DSP.
I only own Smack LE and this one seem to require the TDM licence.
