At the recent AES Convention in New York City, Avid presented a new plug-in format for Pro Tools 10: AAX (Avid Audio eXtension). One of the most frequently asked questions we were asked during the show was how soon we would be able to support this new format.
We are proud to announce that our LM6 Radar Loudness Meter, which was also revealed at AES, will support the new AAX format right from the start.
LM6 Radar Loudness Meter will be available in VST, AU, RTAS and AAX Native versions Dec 2011.
So this will play nicely with either the new HDX hardware of an HD Native system. However no news as to whether existing LM5D owners will get this version free or not.

Seven radio producers – all based in the north of England – have joined forces to launch a new co-operative venture – ‘Radio Wizards’. It’s equally remarkable that their aim now is to work together on every kind of sound production... except radio!
"It’s taken over a year to get to this point," says ‘wizard’ Mike Thornton, "but now we’ve got a viable business plan, we’ve launched our website and we’re already starting to attract commissions. As a facilities provider we decided to facilitate this partnership and set them up with a web site to help kickstart this excellent partnership."
