reFuse Software are a small quiet software company making a range of commercial and free plug-ins using the Pluggo system to enable them to provide support for a wide range of DAWs including Digidesign Pro Tools.
However as I posted here Cycling 74 have announced they are discontinuing development work on all plug-ins including Pluggo which will make life difficult for those developers who have depended on Pluggo like reFuse.
reFuse have announced that their main plug-in Lowender will be released as an RTAS native plug-in sometime in the summer….
We are happy to announce that work is underway on native versions of Lowender. This means… drumroll please… Lowender for Windows!
This also means, for Windows and Mac users alike, that Lowender will soon no longer require Pluggo to run.
We will be releasing VST and AudioUnit versions of Lowender at first, followed by RTAS versions. All existing Lowender users will receive the native versions, with no upgrade fees. There will also be an as-yet-undetermined price increase for the Lowender, for new purchasers.
We don’t have a release date picked yet, but we’re shooting for “by summertime”. Stay tuned, true believers…
As you can see they haven’t been too specific about the date but I for one cannot wait for the native versions to be released. Lowender has had a lot of positive press recently as being the best software equivalent to the DBX bass enhancer box.
In the meantime reFuse have announced that the loss of Pluggo hasn’t stopped them releasing Windows versions of their free plug-ins as it would appear that the Pluggo system will be available for download even though Cycling 74 have now stopped development….
A reFuse Software first! The Mid-Side Suite and Flipper plug-ins are now available for Windows.
We are seeing an odd naming issue when using these in Pro Tools 7.x. Please let us know if you experience any difficulties.
These plug-ins are free!
reFuse is another small software developer that are producing low cost quality plug-ins and need our support.
